    • The Pantagraph announcement of 25th Anniversary follows(9/14/1971). 25th Anniversary for Paul Kings. Arrowsmith--Mr. and Mrs. Paul King of rural Arrowsmith will observe their 25th wedding anniversary Wednesday with a family dinner. The former Helen Kirkpatrick, daughter of mrs. Earl Kirkpatrick of Arrowsmith and the late Mr. Kirkpatrick, and Mr. King of Heyworth, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. King, were married Sept. 15, 1946, in Bloomington. They have two daughters, Mrs. James Williamson of Stanford and Kathleen, at home. They have farmed south of Arrowsmith since 1948 and will move to a farm southwest of Le Roy in 1972.

    • The Pantagraph? obituary follows. Helen L. King. LeRoy -- Helen L. King, 69, of 406 West St., LeRoy, died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 9, 1995) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, the Rev. Fred Belcher officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Midwest Kidney Center, 1505 Eastland Drive, Bloomington; or Leroy Emergency Ambulance Service. Surviving are two daughters, Paula A. Williamson, Normal, and Kathleen Long, LeRoy; and one sister, Eula West, Arrowsmith. Also surviving are two sons-in-law, Jim Williamson, Normal and Roger Long, LeRoy; and four grandchildren, Paul and Gina Williamson, both at home, and Susan and Earl Long, both at home. An infant sister preceded her in death. She was born March 21, 1926, in rural Arrowsmith, the daughter of Earl F. and Oma Scarcliff Kirkpatrick. She married W. Paul King September 15, 1946, in Bloomington; and he preceded her in death April 19, 1988. Mrs. King graduated from Arrowsmith Community High School and attended Illinois State Normal University for two years. She then worked for McKnight and McKnight Publishing Co., Bloomington, for one year. Following that, she farmed with her husband for 39 years in the Arrowsmith and LeRoy areas until retiring and moving to her current address in LeRoy. She was a member of Witt-Webber-Carell American Legion Auxiliary in Arrowsmith, having served as president and secretary. She was of the Methodist faith. Her hobbies included outdoor activities and reading. She was known for surprising friends by sending their birthdays and anniversaries to the WJBC almanac.
