    • The Pantagraph announcement of 25th Anniversary follows(9/14/1971). 25th Anniversary for Paul Kings. Arrowsmith--Mr. and Mrs. Paul King of rural Arrowsmith will observe their 25th wedding anniversary Wednesday with a family dinner. The former Helen Kirkpatrick, daughter of mrs. Earl Kirkpatrick of Arrowsmith and the late Mr. Kirkpatrick, and Mr. King of Heyworth, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. King, were married Sept. 15, 1946, in Bloomington. They have two daughters, Mrs. James Williamson of Stanford and Kathleen, at home. They have farmed south of Arrowsmith since 1948 and will move to a farm southwest of Le Roy in 1972.

    • The Pantagraph obituary follows (4/20/1988). W. Paul King. LeRoy -- W. Paul King, 66, of LeRoy died at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday (April 19,1988) at Americana Healthcare Center, Normal, where he had resided two months. He had been ill five months. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, the Rev. Norman Toney officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and an hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Witt-Webber-Carrell Post 617 American Legion, Arrowsmith. Mr. King was born Jan. 20, 1922, in Gibson City, a son of James Robert and Mary Peyton King. He married Helen Kirkpatrick Sept. 15, 1946, in Bloomington. She survives. Other survivors include his step-mother, Margaret King, Heritage Manor of Normal; two daughters, Paula Williamson, 1212 Brentwood Court, Normal, and Kathy Long, LeRoy; three brothers, Dean, Tremont; Robert, Lockport, and Delmar, Downs; five sisters, Ethel Swab, 104 E. Wood St., Helen Dukes, 901 S. Madison St., Esther Murrel, 810 E. Locust St., Della Manely, 1009 S. Main St., and Mary Wilkerson, 606 S. McLean St., all of Bloomington; and four grandchildren. Mr. King moved to LeRoy in 1987 after farming 39 years in Arrowsmith and LeRoy areas. During World War II, Mr. King served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in Hawaii, the Phillippines and China. He was a member of the Witt-Webber-Carrell Post 617 American Legion, Arrowsmith. Memorials may be made to the post or to the LeRoy Ambulance Service.
